Problem / Objective

Solid waste and plastic enter into River, lakes & dams from drainages and ultimately end up in oceans. Engaging human to collect waste from drainages is hazardous and is prohibited under the Manual Scavenging prohibition laws. Lack of continuous cleaning of drains leaks plastic to water bodies. Lack of proper solution to control entry of plastic into water bodies is affecting the aquatic environment which exacerbate climate change. More than 80 million tons of waste every year is entering into ocean and exacerbate climate change. Local bodies and the Governments are concerned on aquatic plastic pollution as it causes pollution and mosquito menace. Civic societies are raising alarm on aquatic plastic pollution. Plastic and solid waste entry into freshwater eco-system cause severe pollution. 

Solution / Approach

A Robotic Device with Artificial Intelligence, collect and dispose of, plastic and debris from sewerages before they enter and pollute our waterbodies. A Robotic device with Artificial Intelligence to collect Solid Waste from Sewers and Stormwater drains with self-unloading receptacle. Envirobo collects and dispose of Solid waste from hazardous sewage flows or stormwater drains without any human interference. Envirobo robotic device collect sub-surface as well as surface floating debris. Works in low streamflow as well as heavy streamflow. Waste and plastic collected is send to Dry Resources Centers to be recycled or upcycled. 

Envirobo is an innovative technology solution to collect plastic and debris before they enter water bodies. Local bodies save up to 80% of annual spending for cleaning of lakes and water bodies after installation of the Robotic device. Cleaning of water bodies is expensive and continual process. Whereas Envirobo once installed will stop entry of solid waste into aquatic environment. 

In business-as-usual, plastic and debris are collected once they enter and pollute water bodies. All the current available solutions collect waste from inside the water bodies and work afloat and collect only surface floating waste. Sub-surface waste which constitutes more and pollute water bodies, are not collected by other devices available in the market. Moreover, all waste collection and disposal need to be done manually or using excavators. Envirobo collect and dispose of waste without human interaction.

Impact / Implementation

Each Envirobo Robotic device with Artificial Intelligence collects up to 10 tons of plastic per day. Plastic and debris thus collected will otherwise enter and pollute our water bodies.
