The Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA) has organised a special one-day event on 10 December to evangelise AI applications in Tamil Nadu.

Nunnarangu '21 is an Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Conclave on the topic ‘Role of AI & Data Science in the future growth of Tamil Nadu’. It is a conclave featuring experts from government, academia and industry to come together and exchange knowledge and strategies for implementing AI for social good. This hybrid event is being held in Chennai and will be aired live on YouTube as well as other social media channels.

Prominent speakers and attendees at the event include Thiru.T.Mano Thangaraj, IT Minister of Tamil Nadu; Dr. Neeraj Mittal, IAS, Principal Secretary of IT Tamilnadu; PWC Davidar, Retd I.A.S, Advisor, TNeGA; K. Vijayendra Pandian,IAS, CEO, TNeGA, Director of e-Governance; S.Balachander, IAS, Jt. CEO, TNeGA, Jt. Director of e-Governance; Dr. Balaraman Ravindran, Professor, IIT Madras, Head, RBCDSAI.

Jibu Elias, Content and Research Lead at INDIAai, is also invited at the event as the moderator for the round table on AI in e-governance.

On the morning of 10th December, Thiru T.Mano Thangaraj, Honourable Minister for Information Technology, inaugurated Nunnarangu ’21 and also launched Aadhaar Enabled Payment Services at e-Sevai centres in Tamil Nadu. This was carried out in the presence of Dr. Neeraj Mittal, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu, Department of Information Technology; Thiru K.Vijayendra Pandian, IAS, CEO, TNeGAl; and Thiru S.Balachander, IAS, Joint CEO TNeGA.
