PadhAI an AI app launched in India has reportedly scored 170 marks in the UPSC preliminary exams 2024 within a mere 7 minutes. According to the developers, this score qualifies for the general score, which usually remains under 100. The official statement remarked that the score places PadhAI's score in the top 10 nationally, if not ranked 1. It is "higher than any human and other AI models", said the PadhAI team in an X post.

PadhAI is an educational app developed by a team of IITians. The model took the exam in a live event at Delhi's The Lalit Hotel, in the presence of guests from the education sector, the UPSC community, and media professionals. The event was live-streamed for public viewing.

"In a live-streamed event, PadhAI AI solved the paper in less than seven minutes just after the exam ended on 16th June, 11:30 AM", stated the company in an X post.

According to PadhAI's CEO, Karttikeya Mangalam, this is the highest score achieved in the last ten years of UPSC exams. The team believes that while their event is the first of its kind, in a few years, such events will become commonplace as several educational institutions race to solve papers quickly and precisely with AIs.
