The GPAI Summit 2024, hosted in Belgrade, Serbia, brought together global leaders, experts, and innovators to discuss AI's transformative potential. 

The event focused on pivotal themes such as building trustworthy AI systems, leveraging AI for societal and economic benefits, and fostering global cooperation to address pressing challenges. In this esteemed gathering, Shri Jitin Prasada, Minister of State, Government of India, Commerce and Industry; Electronics and Information Technology, delivered an inspiring vision for India's role in shaping the global AI ecosystem.

India’s Vision

Minister Shri Jitin Prasada highlighted India’s strategic investments and policy initiatives under the IndiaAI Mission, which aims to position AI as a pillar of societal progress. With an allocation of $1.2 billion, the mission focuses on democratizing AI access, improving data quality, and fostering indigenous capabilities. These efforts are complemented by initiatives like FutureSkills Prime, which are equipping millions of Indians with skills for an AI-driven future.
