According to NetApp, in AI-leading countries like India, Singapore, the UK, and the USA, 60% of companies have AI projects either operational or in pilot stages, showcasing a proactive approach to innovation. This sharply contrasts with AI-lagging nations such as Spain, Australia/New Zealand, Germany, and Japan, where only 36% of companies have initiated AI projects.
Within industries, the technology sector takes the lead, with 70% of AI projects already underway or in pilot phases. Banking & Financial Services and Manufacturing sectors follow closely behind, with 55% and 50% respectively. However, Healthcare (38%) and Media & Entertainment (25%) industries are slower in adopting AI technologies.
As per the reports, in 2024, India has emerged as a leader in AI and cloud innovation, achieving significant milestones. A remarkable 90% of companies based in India are actively automating their Cloud Operations (CloudOps), underscoring a steadfast dedication to enhancing efficiency and scalability.
Moreover, 70% of Indian companies have already initiated AI projects or have them underway, signaling a strong and widespread adoption of state-of-the-art technologies.
