What is AIKosh?
AIKosh is a centralized platform under the IndiaAI Mission aimed at democratizing access to high-quality, India-relevant AI artefacts. It serves as a national repository of datasets, models, toolkits, use cases, and a sandbox (an integrated development environment) empowering researcher, startups, industries, non-profits, academic institutions, any other individuals or institutions willing to contribute and leverage resources for AI-driven innovation, problem-solving, and public-good applications.
Contributors retain control over licensing and access terms, and artefacts may be published under open, registered, or restricted access as per contributor preferences and policy guidelines.
What Does the EOI Invite?
This Expression of Interest (EOI) invites organizations from across sectors including academia, industry, start-ups, civil society, and research institutions to contribute any of the following artefacts to AIKosh:
- Non-personal, anonymized datasets
- AI/ML models with associated documentation and metadata
- AI use cases demonstrating real-world applications of AI in Indian contexts
All contributions must adhere to ethical AI principles, responsible data governance standards, and applicable laws and policies.
Who Can Apply?
EOIs are open to:
- Academic and research institutions
- Startups and private companies
- Non-profit and civil society organizations
Note: Currently individual contributors are not eligible under this EOI.
Submission and Onboarding Process
- Organizations must register on the AIKosh platform.
- Artefacts must be submitted with complete metadata, licensing information, and descriptive documentation.
- Submissions will be reviewed for platform compliance, ethical alignment, and technical completeness.
- All artefacts will be validated through both automated and manual backend processes prior to publication.

Timeline
This is a rolling EOI with no fixed deadline. Submissions are evaluated on an ongoing basis.
