India is globally recognized as the third most significant energy producer and user. As of 31 March 2020, the installed capacity of the national electric grid in India amounts to 370.106 GW. 

Renewable power facilities, encompassing big hydroelectric plants, account for 35.86% of India's overall installed capacity. In the fiscal year of 2018-19, India's utilities produced 1,372 terawatt-hours (TWh) of gross electricity. 

Furthermore, the country's overall energy generation, encompassing utilities and non-utilities, amounted to 1,547 TWh. In 2018-2019, each individual used approximately 1,181 kilowatt hours (kWh) of power.

The per capita gross power usage for the fiscal year 2018-19 amounted to 1,181 kilowatt-hours. According to global data from 2015-16, the agricultural sector exhibited the highest level of electric energy consumption, accounting for 17.89% of total energy consumption on a global scale. Despite India having a low electricity rate, its per capita electricity usage remains comparatively low compared to many other countries.

Given the prevailing circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, wherein individuals have been subjected to lockdown measures throughout April and May, it is evident that the economic activities across all sectors have seen varying positive and negative consequences due to these restrictions.

• catcode: Category Code (Code for connection Type)
•  totservices: Total Services (Number of Connections during the month)
• billdservices: Billed Services (Number of Connections billed during the month)
• Units: It will give details of units billed in a month
• Load: It will provide information on the load billed in a month

This dataset contains information on non-domestic and commercial consumption in Telangana's southern region.
