Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is a public institute of technology located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act. IIT Kanpur is ranked among the most prestigious academic institutions in India.
IIT Kanpur in collaboration with MHRD and iSMRITI is conducting training courses for undergraduate students on introduction to AI, IoT & robotics to provide hands on experience in the field of artificial intelligence, IoT, & robotics to orient students towards the present industrial scenario.

The Special Interest Group in Machine Learning (SIGML)
The Special Interest Group in Machine Learning (SIGML) is a group of students and faculty members on campus who organize and take part in activities pertaining to machine learning. The institute published body of work on probabilistic machine learning at top ML conferences and has also done interesting research work in computer vision, data mining, optimization, NLP and even robotics.
The institute is mulling over setting up a department of data sciences/machine learning to help students gain a better understanding of statistics, learning, inference and mining.

Pilot Project On Development And Implementation Of Industry 4.0 Protocols For Rail-Coach Design & Manufacturing At Modern Coach Factory, Raebarely
The project envisages implementation in Modern Coach Factory (using MCF increase production capacity by 10 time through the use of Industry 4.0) and proliferation in railway units across India
