14-year-old Kartik from Jhanswa district in the state has filed six patents in technological innovation and reportedly developed an AI chatbot, and visual aid inventions. He also claims to have written a book on the future of technology until 2050 and beyond!
Kartik has developed an innovative audiovisual newspaper named Shrikunj, designed to enable readers to listen to news at the click of a button. As a tribute to his mother, who cannot read, Kartik had her unveil Shrikunj at its launch a year ago. The driving force behind this creation was his mother's desire to consume news from a newspaper despite being illiterate.
The model is simple - Kartik combines weekly updates with AI and generates audio-visuals. Currently, he is focusing on Shrikunj, but this technology can convert any e-paper into audio-visual news.
His father, Ajit Singh, has completed his education until class 10 and is a farmer. He shared that, unlike other children, Kartik does not want toys or chocolates but just a phone and the internet to innovate.
His teachers have also been great supporters—the Jawahar Navodaya School in Jhajjar lets him take online classes since the young child has brought laurels not just to his family and school but also to his state.
When he was 11, Kartik had already developed three education-related apps and written two books on coding and graphic design.
He learned the nitty-gritty of Artificial Intelligence during the pandemic-induced lockdown and was inducted as per HT report into the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest App Developer in Asia.
Among the six patents to his name is a natural Language Processing And Response Generation system in Raghurai, India's Homegrown Conversational AI Bot. Raghurai can answer in up to 67 languages of the world with the latest information beyond 2022.
Kartik said "“I have 5 India records and have filed 6 patents. I also created India’s own generative AI bot, the Raghurai Bot. I have also created the world’s first audio-video newspaper, Shrikunj. I wrote a book called the world of future tech, which is the most vectored design book where I have added 700+ vectors using Canva, Corel Draw, Adobe and other such softwares which was out on 22 July 2024."
His other innovations include a lie-detector app, cloud storage of up to 1 TB of an eye mouse, a smart translator that uses decoration, and a VR-connected metaverse web.
