Turkish artist Alper Yesiltas used AI to predict what some famous figures might look like if they were alive today. Among those included are Diana, Princess of Wales of the British Royal family; Beatles vocalist and songwriter John Lennon; Pop icon Michael Jackson; lead singer of the English pop band Freddie Mercury, Singer and songwriter Elvis Presley and American rapper Tupac.  

The images shared by the artist have taken social media by storm. The artist named his AI project "As if Nothing Happened". In the introduction, the artist explained that behind his project lies the question of how people would look photo-realistically if some great events had not happened to them. 

The collection has been viewed almost 400,000 times on his website, while individual posts on his Instagram channel have gone viral. The most popular Instagram post to date already has over 20,000 likes, with users in awe of the images.  

The question of 'how they could have looked' has always remained in the fans' minds. Thanks to the AI artistic project, they now have an answer. Alper Yesiltas's social media page is flooded with user comments such as "Makes me kind of emotional," and "this is extremely interesting and thought-provoking". 

The project continues to add more faces to its collection, with some of the latest including Heath Ledger and Amy Winehouse.
