On Saturday, Madurai's All India Radio (AIR) launched a radio series called "Ini Yavum Nunnarive" (Future is Artificial Intelligence) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF).

The serial, which will be broadcasted every Saturday at 8 pm, will focus on the science, potential and research in artificial intelligence (AI) in India and across the world. It will also look at AI in literature, industrial and social sector and rely upon the ideas of a futuristic society and apprehensions around it.

The serial will be produced by the Madurai AIR and will be relayed on six MW stations of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. The programmes have been produced in 19 languages and are broadcasted in more than 121 AIR stations across 85% of India's geography by Vigyan Prasar. The faculty and students of the Madurai Kamaraj University have been trained by the TNSF in scriptwriting and have been helping the forum create scripts for the show.

The episodes are done in different formats such as docudrama, expert opinions and interviews for the entertainment and education of the audience. The show will be interactive in nature and as part of it, there will be episodes that will take listeners' questions and have discussions on the same. Each episode will also feature two questions that listeners will contest to give correct answers. The selected winners will receive Vigyan Prasar books and kits.
