Doordarshan Kisan is poised to make history as the country's first government TV channel to introduce AI anchors, heralding the dawn of the 'Artificial Intelligence' era in agriculture. These AI anchors, Krish and Bhoomi, are not just computer programs but sophisticated entities that emulate human behaviour and perform tasks akin to those of their human counterparts. They can deliver news 24/7, 365 days a year, without succumbing to fatigue or requiring breaks, a once unimaginable feat.
The AI anchors will be visible to farmer viewers across all country states, from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu and from Gujarat to Arunachal. These anchors will deliver essential information regarding agricultural research at national and global levels, trends in farm markets, weather updates, and government scheme updates. An exceptional characteristic of these anchors is their ability to communicate fluently in fifty domestic and international languages.
