Let's look at what's happening on the third day of the GPAI SUMMIT 2023: 12-14 December 2023, New Delhi.
The session's primary goal is to help people in the Global South learn more about the possibilities, challenges, and risks when AI and climate change come together in a way that makes sense for their countries. The discussion will use the experts' combined knowledge to improve GPAI discussions and allow experts from different places and fields to join.
The session will provide an overview of Generative AI and its potential to change various industries. The discussion will also examine various issues surrounding this technology, including ethical deployment, disinformation, privacy concerns, data governance, and potential biases.
This distinguished event will honour and award AI entrepreneurs and inventors from various backgrounds to highlight their unique AI solutions, which will help advance the technical frontier and GPAI. Selected startups will present their ideas to a jury of AI experts and practitioners, and the winners will be recognized at the Summit.
The session will focus on building on the principles described in the GPAI's Working Group on Innovation and Commercialization's IP Primer. This workshop will discuss the intellectual property protection of various components of AI systems, including hardware, AI algorithms, software in which the algorithm is incorporated, training datasets, and outcomes. The workshop will also seek to identify areas where current IP regulations are silent or may need to be modified to solve Generative AI concerns.
The session will cover various safe, secure, and trustworthy AI topics. The session aims to identify essential dangers, problems, and opportunities for industry and governments. It will bring key players together to share their perspectives.
The session will concentrate on developing localized knowledge about the potential challenges and hazards associated with the intersection of AI and climate change relevant to the objectives and concerns of countries in the Global South. The discussion will use collective expertise to bring value to GPAI discussions and open the forum to a geographically and professionally diverse collection of experts. Discuss the establishment of a global repository of open-source AI resources to ensure cost-effective and equitable technological responses to climate change.
