The Vision & AI Lab (VAL) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is planning a partnership between industry and university to work on generative AI. 

This partnership aims to help industries grow and progress in essential areas like generative AI and large language models that use more than one data type. 

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) allows industry data scientists to collaborate with notable university lab researchers. They will collaborate on multimodal representation learning and generative AI skills to significantly influence the e-commerce business. 

The research efforts will also aid the company in developing solutions that improve the e-commerce experience for users. Furthermore, this could lead to the publication of outstanding research articles at prestigious international conferences.

In the e-commerce market, generative AI and multimodal LLMs have emerged as critical technologies. These sophisticated solutions enable personalised client experiences, improve different elements of online retail operations, and enable organisations to provide realistic and dynamic content.
