The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched its Certificate Programme in Design Thinking and Innovation (DTI). The programme is a five-month online course that powerfully introduces the principles and practice of Design Thinking, enhanced by insights into Generative AI. Taught by leading faculty from IIT Delhi and industry experts, the programme covers the latest in design thinking methodologies and the transformative impact of AI on creative processes.

With the integration of Generative AI, design thinking has evolved to include advanced techniques for generating ideas, enhancing creativity and accelerating the prototyping phase by producing multiple design variations quickly and efficiently.

The program is specially curated for Designers, Design Engineers, Creative Managers, Art Directors, UX Designers, UX Design Consultants, and UI Designers wanting to gain expertise in developing innovative customer-centric solutions. The program will also aid Product, Marketing, Branding, Growth, and R&D Managers who wish to use design thinking to develop innovative products for business impact. It is suitable for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners such as CXOs, Managing directors, founders, Presidents, and Chief Strategy Officers who aim to scale their businesses and create social impact through customer-centric innovations.

The program takes innovation a step further by bringing in 2 classes on Generative AI, offering participants tools to enhance creativity, streamline processes, and deliver faster, more effective solutions. Students will engage with a curriculum that covers key topics such as Human-Centered Design (HCD) for addressing real-world user needs, Iterative Design and Sustainability to foster continuous innovation, and Agile Design and Data-Driven Innovation to leverage data in creative problem-solving.

Participants will be awarded a successful completion certificate from IIT Delhi upon scoring at least 60% marks in each of the evaluation components and completing the Capstone Project. Participants who are unable to score 60% marks or complete the Capstone Project in the evaluation will only be eligible for the participation certificate.
