The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-Madras) has invited women under the age of 28 years to apply to a 2-year fellowship in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science under IIT-M's Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (RBCDSAI) Post Baccalaureate Fellowship. The selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000.

The applicants need to have relevant education and a 4-year-bachelor's degree; a masters degree is optional. The selected fellows will also have an option of further applying to the PhD program. In fact, the institute will encourage fellows for PhD.

There are several benefits for selected fellows. Primarily, it is a grant by Google Research. Apart from that, fellows have an opportunity to work at a research facility, along with prominent scientists, on few of the largest network analytics, deep reinforcement learning, and the most active natural language processing and deep learning groups in the country. 

The women will also be groomed by a woman mentor from academia or industry as desired by the fellow. They will also have the opportunities to attend Women in Tech events like ACM-W, and Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. Finally, the fellows will get to be part of RBCDSAI, a pre-eminent interdisciplinary Research Centre for data science and artificial intelligence in India.
