The Bihar State Election Commission is all set to automate vote-counting amid ongoing Bihar Panchayat poll election. This is the first time an artificial intelligence (AI) system is used for vote counting in the country.

JARVIS, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered proprietary Video Analytics of Staqu will count votes through the camera that monitors the screens of electronic voting machines (EVMs) with the help of Video Management Software (VMS) and video analytics (VA).

These technologies enable JARVIS to readily integrate itself with existing CCTV to enable smart monitoring and analysis. JARVIS will act as a validator for the votes received by contestants. The technology can alert authorities in case of any discrepancy.

“Staqu has been committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems, ensure there is top-notch security, and automate tasks that were previously done manually to save time and cost and avoid any errors/discrepancies. We are thrilled to be associated with the Bihar State Election Commission to integrate JARVIS with the CCTV cameras at the counting booth during the ongoing elections," says Atul Rai CEO and co-founder Staqu.
