IIT Mandi catalyst incubated startup Wellnesys has launched a next-generation smart yoga mat powered by Artificial Intelligence to deliver interactive and immersive yoga sessions and the flexibility to practice anytime/anywhere.

The company remark that the product is on-intrusive and privacy-sensitive embedded with patented sensor fabric technology that tracks yoga postures, provides real-time correctional feedback, and measures an individual's progress of various metrics beyond calories such as strength, flexibility, and balance. 

This AI-powered yoga mat is claimed to have expanded beyond Yoga to allow certain bodyweight workouts, such as HIIT. It automatically counts reps and measures calories burned. The model supports curated classes and therapy programs, step-by-step guidance, and real-time audio-visual feedback. It can be used indoors and outdoors and is compatible with Apple Watch as well. 

"YogiFi tracks the user’s vital signs, sleep, and stress and offers personalized coaching, empowering them to effortlessly optimize their well-being. Users can also access curated yoga, meditation, and breathing sessions designed by expert trainers and practice at their convenience across a variety of devices", says the company website.

Wellnesys Technologies Private Limited, the startup behind the model is born out of the founder's own life experience and is currently on a mission to integrate yoga practice into everyone's daily lifestyle as a habit. According to the company, YogiFi empowers yoga trainers/coaches/therapists to curate individual therapy plans based on specific health and wellness goals. 

YogiFi is also launching a unique Diabetes Therapy Kit that helps deliver therapy programs for managing lifestyle diseases such as Type-2 diabetes, and obesity.
