Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be launching 75 defence products powered by AI on July 11th, Monday. These products, which will be found at the first-ever ‘Artificial Intelligence in Defence’ (AIDef) symposium and exhibition organized by the Department of Defence Production Ministry of Defence, will be launched as part of the celebrations marking 75 years of Independence ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and to promote self-reliance in the defence sector. 

The event will feature an exhibition to showcase the cutting-edge AI-enabled solutions developed by services research organizations, industry, start-ups and innovators and the launch of AI products for the market. 

According to Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar, these 75 products are in the domain of robotics systems. Cyber security, human behavior analysis, intelligent monitoring system, supply chain management, voice analysis and C4ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) and operational data analytics. Apart from the 75 products being launched, there are another 100 in various stages of development. 

The event is to be attended by dignitaries from friendly foreign countries, senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and other ministries of the Government of India, and representatives from research institutes, academia and industry.
