The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has reportedly collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) India to offer free online programmes to equip students with essential skills in cutting-edge technologies. The programmes predominantly empower students in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing and Data Annotation through the Directorate General of Training’s Bharat Skills Platform.

As per the partnership, the shortlisted educational institutions will receive a cloud computing curriculum of AWS that will prepare the students for certification and significant roles in cloud technology. The initiative is expected to enhance students’ skills from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) in India.

The Secretary of MSDE, Atul Kumar Tiwari, stated the importance of this partnership, that the students will attain in-demand skills and well-refined experience in AI, ML, cloud computing and data annotation. The support offered by AWS also includes faculty training in the mentioned technologies that ensures elevation in the learning outcomes.

Moreover, AWS is heavily investing in the education and development domain in India’s digital workforce. Sunil PP, the Lead for Education, Space, Non-profits, Channels and Alliances at Amazon Web Services, talks about their commitment to offering learning resources to pupils and teachers.

This partnership between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Amazon Web Services in India promises to empower students in skilling, specifically in areas that help them thrive in this rapidly transforming technological landscape. This will effectively contribute to India’s digital transformation and foster a viable workforce in the future.
