Starting from the upcoming academic session 2021-22, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee will be offering two new postgraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. These M.Tech courses will be run by the newly established Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CAIDS) at the university.

The courses are (a) M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and (b) M.Tech in Data Science.

CAIDS intends to play a vital role in shaping India's AI and DS landscape by promoting teaching, training, workforce development, applied research, entrepreneurship, and innovation in AI and DS. CAIDS is a multidisciplinary initiative from IIT Roorkee to play a meaningful role in various fields, including Finance and Investment Banking, Business, Healthcare, Transportation, Material Informatics, and many others.
