As a country that quickly switched from paper to digital administration during the pandemic, India brings sheer expertise and scalability solutions to AI implementation. Moreover, data is as abundant as the population in India. This, along with digital readiness, has furled AI initiatives with increasing penetration, be it for scalable UPI transactions or centralized information storage in the DigiLocker. Another Indian secret sauce for AI is the horizontal application of the technology across industries for intelligent automation, quicker turnaround, conflict resolution and more.

India has a growing talent pool, and technology adoption is rising in non-tech sectors like agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing and governance. To top it off, the Union and several state governments are turning to industries to enhance digitization. The state of Telangana is among the foremost proponents of these tenets. The state's Revv Up Accelerator aims to enable and empower the next set of founders and their growth-stage AI startups through a structured series of interventions. These startups will be offered a host of opportunities to collaborate with and get mentored by industry leaders, enterprises and government organizations and solve actual business use cases presented by these stakeholders.

Revv Up, in line with the vision of the Govt of Telangana, will build India's homegrown AI community that is keenly trained to solve and address native challenges based on inferences and insights from locally-available datasets.

The T-AIM's previous two cohorts were a huge success. Fifteen startups interacted with the Government of Telangana to explore Proof of Concept opportunities, and 2-3 signed MoUs or received pilot opportunities. In addition, more than 40 startups pitched to more than 35 investors, and some have either received funding or are on the verge of being funded soon. The numbers also stated that 85% of the polled startups found the mentor program valuable. More than 30 startups actively considered international markets through roadshows, digital delegations, and virtual booths enabled by the program.

Two of its startups bagged awards at the G20 Digital Innovation Network (DIN) recently held in Bali, Indonesia. 4 to 5 startup companies were nominated by T-AIM for the event. The Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan stated that these awards signified the global potential of Indian startups, and Telangana remained committed to providing startups with such great opportunities.

The third Cohort of Revv up will focus on agriculture, education, environment, law enforcement, smart cities, e-governance, and healthcare, among others. The Revv up will provide its participants with use case opportunities with the Government of Telangana and industry partners. They will also have access to experts and mentors to help them scale their businesses.

The 3rd cohort, expected to commence on December 1st, will be powered by NASSCOM like the first two. The program seeks to enable and empower the next set of founders and their growth-stage AI startups through a structured series of interventions.
