Google recently published a blog post outlining six ways its tools can help users prepare for and make the most of their next trip. 

Exploring a new place is one of the best parts of travelling. However, uncovering the best spots to visit (or stay or eat) can be difficult or time-consuming. Google's Search Generative Experience (SGE) can help here. The user will have to type a prompt like "plan me a seven-day trip to the Himalayas," and they will be provided with a set of suggestions that includes attractions and restaurants, plus an overview of their flight and hotel options. These itineraries will bring together a range of ideas from sites across the web and information like reviews, photos and other business profile details that people have submitted to Google for more than 200 million places worldwide.

Users can leverage Google Maps to discover lists of recommendations from sites they love and in-the-know locals. Google have also introduced trending, top and hidden gem restaurant lists created by Google Maps based on people's interests. Maps will also have customised lists to organize places as per the user's desired order. They can also link to content from their social channels, like the review of the delicious meal, for more context on why that spot was saved.

The new personalized recommendations tool can help discover apparel, accessories, or other products hassle-free. Furthermore, Circle to Search, available on select Android devices instantly translate whatever is on the mobile screens. Simply press the home button or navigation bar and tap the translate icon. This tool can be helpful if the traveller is at a place where he/she doesn't know the local language.

Finally, Lens's multi-search can be used as a personal tour guide. With the AI-powered upgrades, the user can point their camera and ask a question about what they see, and they will be provided with helpful insights in an AI overview.

With new AI-powered tools, Google is undoubtedly transforming the AI game.
