Twitter recently suspended two accounts after AI scientists shared a modified and 'racist' clip from Disney's latest movie, 'The Little Mermaid'. The skin of actor Hale Bailey who is playing the role of Ariel, was whitewashed in the short clip released. The Scientist had digitally replaced Ms. Bailey, who is black, with a fake white character.

Certain opinionated viewers were not happy with Disney's action to change the previously white-skinned, red Ariel to a black woman. However, a few social media users took the video by storm and 'fixed' the clip using AI, making the black Ariel into a white woman.

A tweet by @TenGazillioinIQ (now suspended) stated that he fixed The Little Mermaid and turned the woke actor into a ginger white girl. Soon after his controversial tweet, he posted a follow-up tweet that the alterations he made were purely educational and asked his followers not to misinterpret the tweets.

Twitter was flooded with mixed comments after the incident. Some regarded the post as 'racist' while others stated it as a 'misuse of technology'.

The trailer of 'The Little Mermaid' received 1.5 million dislikes on YouTube following the incident and did not receive good reactions from the internet.
