According to the Times of India, the Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw dropped a hint about the upcoming launch of a ChatGPT-like tool on Monday, March 27. The minister told us to wait for a big announcement in the coming weeks while talking about conversational AI tools. While answering the question of whether India can build something similar to the famous conversational tool ChatGPT, while addressing the Global Forum event, the Union Minister said, “Wait for a few weeks. There will be a big announcement”. However, the IT Minister refused to give further details on the tool and the launch or what the big announcement might be. “Parliament is in session, so I cannot say anything”, he added.
