Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar gave his thoughts on how AI will affect the labour sector. When asked if he thought AI would lead to widespread unemployment, Chandrasekhar responded with an emphatic "no."

The minister stated that the government was working on a data sets initiative to make government-anonymized data available to Indian artificial intelligence academics and companies. He noted that AI today is task-focused and fundamentally improves job efficiency by emulating human behaviours.

Regarding the Indian semiconductor business, he stated that the government is working to create a semiconductor ecosystem that will be operational in three to five years.
Furthermore, the minister elaborated, saying that there were none 18 months ago, but now there are about 30 startups involved in semiconductor design. He said India will soon have a semiconductor research hub and be a global semiconductor value chain player.
