Additional Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh, Raja Shrivastava, recently said that the use of advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence has led to revolutionary changes in investigating anti-corruption cases. Srivastava was addressing the 49th All India Police Science Congress at the Forest Research Institute. “Use of Artificial Intelligence has led to revolutionary changes in the investigation of anti-corruption cases. By using modern technologies like this, investigations can be completed on time by analysing the data quickly. They also help in examining the digital behaviour reports of criminals,” Srivastava said while addressing the first session of the meet, which was aimed at policing in the 5G era.
He added that financial behaviour analysis recently had good results in various investigations, which gave solid support to evidence in the courts of law. Srivastava also emphasised the significance of data sharing between the law enforcement team and various departments.
The Joint Director Intelligence Bureau explained the threats to cyber security and stressed data protection and the importance of cyber hygiene. He mentioned the significance of securing the network of IP cameras, which is a vital aspect of cyber security.
BS Jaiswal, the Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police, spoke about effective border management utilising geospatial technology and big data analysis. Besides this, he also suggested the use of GIS, GPS and Geodome technologies to enhance the system.
