Ananthakrishnan Gopal is an AI, ML, & NLP expert focusing on human-machine speech communication. He did his MSc. (Engg.) from  Indian Institute of Science and Bachelors in Engineering from Vishwakarma Institute of technology. Over the years he's worked with Vertis microsystems, Samsung R&D, Aritvatic data labs and is also currently working with Niki.ai.

His goal is to be able to be able to contribute to this domain and in the process, get a better understanding of how humans do this so very easily. Given that this path is a long drawn one, He feels the right way to go about it is to work on many related but smaller problems and come up with intelligent and workable solutions which can be useful in improving our quality of life and the society. He is extremely interested in working in the field of language data analysis, especially in the domains of information retrieval, education and health care.

His approach has always been to recognize a problem statement and solve it with the available resources. Given more time and better support, he has been able to think of more elegant and holistic solutions. But he has also worked with extremely meagre resources to get the job done. 

During his university days in IISc (Bangalore), he was involved with a music group. It was a large heterogeneous group, some doing their masters, some their PhD all with different levels of expertise. During that period, he found that he was able to arrange music right from elaborate orchestrations to simple melodies depending on the number of performers and their expertise. This, he believes, is his best asset.
