Girish is the ex-Co-CEO – Wipro and served as the Co-CEO of Wipro’s IT Business from 2008-2011. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Wipro Ltd. He led Wipro’s IT business worth $5.8 billion, with hundred thousand employees across 54 countries.


Girish has represented the IT Industry in various public forums including the Prime Minister's Task Force on Information Technology, NASSCOM, International Advisory Board of Credit Agricole (one of the top three French banks) and leading global business schools.

Recognition

Girish also served as the President – Financial Services Consulting & Marketing from 2002 to 2006, Head - Financial Services for two years till 2002 and CFO – IT Business from 1995-2000.He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.Girish Paranjpe was a speaker in the panel discussion – "The Big Picture: What to expect and plan for 2010".Girish Paranjpe was a keynote speaker for the Fortune Conference, 8 October 2008 in London. Girish spoke about the various measures CEO's across the world are taking to brace against the downturn. Innovation takes on a different meaning in this scenario. He talked about Wipro's experience in co-innovating with the customer to help them through the current economic environment.
