The number of smartphones has been growing exponentially in India. However, in a country with huge linguistic diversity, language barrier and illiteracy has become major barriers for taking full advantage of growing technologies. Mihup builds AI-powered platforms for Human-Machine interface, which can allow an individual to speak in their mother tongue and access all the information. It will make the entire experience much better and easier for the user, as voice interaction is much simpler than typing.
With Mihup platforms, user can access all the contents by simply speaking in his mother tongue or dialect. It can deliver a human-like understanding of naturally spoken queries for large, complex content domains. Mihup's platforms enable the user to interact with their machines – Phones, PC, Tablets and other IoT devices – through voice, that too in their vernacular language. It can also build an intelligent IVR system, for banks, call centres and virtual assistant for cars, and home security systems.
The company uses Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval to develop intelligent voice interfaces for any device or application. Mihup claims that its solutions have potential use cases in industries that include media and entertainment, consumer electronics, Internet of Things, retail and e-commerce, automotive and BFSI (banking and financial services industry).
The system, which works both offline and online, currently supports Indian English, Hindi, and Bengali, however, the company claims that it's working on adding few more vernacular languages shortly.
