This pillar focuses on ensuring the responsible development, deployment, and adoption of AI by implementing Responsible AI projects, developing indigenous tools and frameworks, self-assessment checklists for innovators, and other guidelines and governance frameworks.
The Safe & Trusted AI pillar aims to design and develop adequate guardrails to advance the responsible development, deployment, and adoption of AI. The pillar will enable the implementation of responsible AI projects that promote the development of indigenous tools and frameworks, self-assessment checklists for innovators, and other guidelines and governance frameworks that advance the adoption of responsible AI principles throughout the AI lifecycle. IndiaAI announced an Expression of Interest on responsible AI promoting fair, transparent, and ethical AI practices. Currently, the proposals are being evaluated.
